Policy (Public) – Modern Slavery & Ethical Conduct Statement

This policy sets out how Greenwich Home Care Ltd prevents modern slavery and promotes ethical conduct within its operations and supply chain.

🔹 Purpose

This statement outlines Greenwich Home Care Ltd’s commitment to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation in all forms, in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and wider ethical business standards.


🔹 Our Commitment

Greenwich Home Care Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of slavery, servitude, forced labour, or human trafficking.
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships and ensuring transparency in our operations and supply chain.


🔹 Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All employees, agency staff, and volunteers of Greenwich Home Care Ltd.
  • All contractors, suppliers, and business partners who provide goods or services to the organisation.

🔹 Our Practices and Controls

We maintain strong recruitment, HR, and procurement processes designed to prevent exploitation, including:

  • Conducting right-to-work and identity checks for all employees.
  • Ensuring fair pay and lawful working conditions.
  • Engaging only reputable suppliers and partners who comply with ethical standards.
  • Including clauses in supplier agreements that require compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
  • Providing training and awareness to managers and staff about signs of modern slavery or labour exploitation.

🔹 Reporting Concerns

We encourage all staff, contractors, and the public to report any suspicions of modern slavery.

All reports are treated seriously and investigated promptly.
Where there is evidence or significant concern, appropriate authorities will be informed immediately.


🔹 Due Diligence

We perform due diligence on new suppliers and contractors, assessing their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and ethical employment practices.
We review these relationships periodically to ensure ongoing compliance.


🔹 Training and Awareness

All staff receive information on recognising and reporting potential signs of modern slavery during induction and through regular updates.
This forms part of our wider safeguarding and ethical governance framework.


🔹 Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continual improvement in identifying and mitigating the risk of modern slavery within our organisation and supply chain.
This statement is reviewed annually and published on our website to promote transparency and accountability.
